Is August 17 the full release date?
No. August 17, 2026 is the Early Access launch date. The developer’s Steam statement says Early Access is planned to last less than a year, with free content and improvements continuing afterward. That is a target, not a fixed full-release date.
What “planned for PS5 and Xbox” means
The console wording comes from comments posted by the developer account in a Morrowind community thread. It is meaningful evidence of intent, but it does not provide a store listing, certification milestone, price, or launch date.
Until NerveLabs publishes a dated console announcement or official store page, treat all of the following as unknown:
- whether PS5 and Xbox launch together;
- whether console versions arrive during or after Early Access;
- whether cross-play or cross-save will be supported;
- console pricing and performance targets.
Where to check for a new console date
Use the Steam news/community page, the official Discord, or the developer’s linked social accounts. This page will keep “planned” and “released” as separate states.
